Special Grinding and Cutting Line for Premium-Quality Cork StoppersMEPSA has developed a specialised machine for grinding and surface finishing high-quality cork stoppers designed for sparkling wines, such as Cava and Champagne. This solution, developed for the cork industry, optimises the finishing process of these essential components used in the bottling of premium wines.

Process: Grinding and cutting.
1st Production Stage:
Centerless grinding machine: Performs the lateral grinding of the stoppers to ensure uniform and controlled material removal.
2nd Production Stage:
End-cutting line: Cuts the stoppers to the required length using two diamond cutting discs with CNC adjustment for maximum precision.
Vibratory feeding system: Feeds the stoppers evenly and continuously into the production line.
Keyence TM measuring system: Enables precise inspection of the stopper profile and thickness.
Stopper unloading: The stoppers are discharged into a collection bin, ready for the next stage, where the ends are glued.
MEPSA smartPOLIP®: Intuitive, fast and extremely easy-to-program Teach-in programming software.
MEPSA On-line Service: Remote assistance service.
